Employee disengagement is on the rise in various institutions all over the globe. This is something that employers need to take seriously and come up with techniques to boost engagement and prevent disengagement. This way they will be able to benefit from increased interest, enjoyment, happiness and reduced stress. Some of the ways that can be adapted to boost engagement and prevent disengagement especially during training include:

Using Employee Surveys 

These are the most common tools that are used to gauge engagement. It however has to be done in the proper way as it can also contribute to employee disengagement. Ensure that all employees take part in the entire process including the formulating of questions, data analysis and recommended action. Try and shorten the time between surveys and release results on time as well as taking the necessary action. You can make the survey short so that people do not get bored filling them up. Use the Right Approach 

Use a proper approach that will help weave engagement into the working ways from conversational approaches to performance management and co- created strategy. Actively listen to all the employees and take the required action depending on feed back you receive. Communicate the big picture of the organization to the employees and engage them in it. Social media tools that are powerful and inexpensive can be used to achieve this as they give the employees a voice when it comes to crafting strategy and results going a long way to prevent employee disengagement.
