Watch: From Traditional Training To Social Training

This week I bring you Harold Jarche, is an international consultant and speaker, helping people and businesses understand the new era of digital work. Harold supports organizations in improving performance through social learning and utilizes the experience he gained after serving over 20 years in the Canadian Armed Forces in leadership and training roles. In this 8 minutes long clip, Harold explains why it can be difficult to move a traditional training organization directly to a social learning focus, and also presents the benefits of a transition of such. A key concept I took from his presentation is that from a business perspective, shared knowledge between employees is crucial. When people share their knowledge, companies gain a huge boost to their progress like developing a new product, and for that managers need to facilitate better trust between employees.
